Arrivederci! Italian Language Learning Book with Audio CD for English Speakers - Beginner Level (Italian Edition) | Perfect for Self-Study, Travel & Classroom Use

I’ve only used the book Arrivederchi for four or so weeks. I feel the book should be a text used in a class with a teacher. It can be a little hard to follow with very busy pages. I like that the content stresses communication and conversations in Italian. This helps those who want to visit Italy and practice with true Italians. I think the book is well planned and an excellent choice for learning Italian.This is the designated text for an Italian Language class, in which I am presently enrolled. It is instructive, but I don't recommend it on its own, without an actual teacher. The CDs are very helpful as an aid to learning pronunciation, but the speakers in the recordings talk way too fast for a new student to grasp without a lot of help from an instructor. Overall, I am satisfied with the quality and usefulness of this text.Exellent!Theory part was interesting and would be great if the book was more accessible (see my comments later on). Exercises, not so much. They come in paper form (at the end of the book) or e-form; paper ones don't have the answer key so you can't check you answers, internet version is poorly designed and unusable in Kindle device or mobile. Also, the book was designed with clasroom learners on mind, not for self-study (which would be ok - I think it states that in description - although it could have included answer key to all exercises, not only self-evaluation part at the end of each lesson) and, importantly, is NOT accessible; many language course books today contain transcripts for the learners who can't access spoken word (hard of hearing, deaf, people with specific learning difficulties etc.), this book does not. It is of some help with learning but don't expect too much of it.Got book as I was starting a course as a beginner. I found the book progressed too quickly and tended to make assumptions but the course I am attending helped and the book works for me with the lessons. I found the disc much too fast for a beginner and the music before every clip really annoying especially when I needed to repeat them a number of times. The explanation of verbs and grammar is very good. Overall the book is worth getting but don't rely solely on it's content to progress.Love ❤️ my Italian. Especially I have a DVD AND CD.
