Bought this back in 2016 for $208 still mounted on my 2010 Honda Rancher. I never crank it to 100%. (But here lately I have been. Possible hearing loss??) It’s plenty loud enough for me sitting right in front of me. I would stay sound quality is good. Has good bass! However it does get distorted on the low end when on 100%.I’ve took this thing through creeks and mud pits and it’s been covered with water. Have drove through snow and rain as well. I’ve also sprayed water directly into the tweeters and woofers and they still work excellent!I never use the aux normally but from the times that I have used it it seems less powerful than Bluetooth. Bluetooth works great and has good range. Pairs very fast with my iPhone. As any other boss audio product, the wattage is not correct, it’s not 700 watts maybe 15 watts to each speaker at the max. Still a great product. Can’t remember how many straps came with it but I only have 1 of the straps on it, plus 2 bungee cords holding it down.Sound is ok. If you're going at a slower pace. Once I hit about 45, I can't hear it over the engine noise of the rzr. Installed in a 2011 900XP. Chopped the cage, installed it on the back, pointing towards the seats, so rearview mirror is pretty worthless now. Bluetooth is great, and I do like the ease of use/setup - super easy. All in all, I like it - but mainly because I got it for half the retail price on prime day. If I had to it to do again, I would go a different route for audio, just so I would be able to hear it going down the road. However, since we do more crawling than trail riding, it'll do.Update - I see reviews saying using the aux cord generates better sound. I will try that next.UPDATE #2 - 4/10/2017 - I purchased this in July of 2016 to install on a Polaris Rzr. Up until this weekend it has been used 4-6 times and has around 15-20 hours on it. This last weekend we went out and I plugged it in, and I connected bluetooth. No sound. I messed with the volume and cords for a bit and heard a bit of a verse of a song that had static, and came out one speaker at a low volume, even though it was turned all the way up for - about 10 seconds, and then total silence. I will contact Boss to see if there's anything they can do about it and I will update here.UPDATE#3 4/18/2017 - I emailed the company on 4/10/2017 & was promptly emailed back by a Raul Garcia ([email protected]) and was informed that I had to include my receipt in order for them to get information to process a return authorization. Item includes a one year manufacturers warranty. I responded that day with the information he requested. I responded again on 4/17/2017 asking why they haven't contacted me. And as of today, EIGHT DAYS LATER - nothing.I am changing my rate from a 3 star to a 1 star due to lack of customer service & due to the item not being able to prove it's advertising hype. Conclusion - speaker is 8 months old. Used it less than 20 hours and has now quit working. Company was quick to respond on the first email but has since dropped the ball. VERY disappointed in this purchase. Next time I will not go the cheap route, as in the end it only costs more money. Will look into a real speaker system.4/24/2017 - I have emailed the company 3 more times, and nothing. Stay far and away from this item.4/26/17 - Since Boss Audio will not contact me - I contacted Amazon about advice on what I should do. I was this clos () to taking Boss Audio to small claims court - JUST to prove a point (I know, it would have done nothing for the cash I'm out, probably cost me more, but maybe for future purchases it would have made them respect their customers more). ANYWAY - Amazon is replacing the speaker for free. AND sending me a prepaid shipping lable to send back the old one. Sorry that Amazon has to take this up the you know what, but this is the reason I shop with Amazon, and I try to make sure Amazon is the seller on most of my purchases. At least I can trust them when it comes to customer service. Boss Audio? NEVER AGAIN. If this speaker craps out, I'm done. I'll get a real system for my rig.Speakers are great! The parts to mount the components could be better. We ended up mounting remote directly to the bike as the handlebar mounts are tacky. We also installed power directly from the battery and added a power switch in the dry box. We didn't want the led to affect the battery if the bike stayed parked too long. The straps have single stitched Velcro that was starting to fall apart during installation. If all items needed to securely mount wires and decent straps were included this would definitely get 5 stars across the boardThis sounds good, and the install was fairly easy. The problem; this thing will drain your battery even when it is turned completely off. You definitely have to disconnect it when not in use. This stinks a bit as I have this tucked under the seat of our four wheel, where it runs from the battery. The first trip we took with it, when I got to our cabin and went to unload the quad, the battery was dead! Did not make a good start to the trip. The thing does sound good, just hope it holds up. I also worry about it being stolen. Once you have it hooked up to your quad, you realistically are not going to remove it every time you stop somewhere. It would be nice if they would come up with something to lock this thing down.Installed this easily on my parent's John Deer Gator. It was easy to install. Just hooked it into the battery, ran the wires, and turned it on. Probably took 15 minutes total. There were a couple small things i had to modify, however during the install:1. It does not come with an in-line fuse to run off of the battery (I ended up buying one for an additional $5). I feel like this should have been included in the package though2. The straps to mount the system do not tighten as much as I needed them to, and I ended up having to use ratchet straps. It feels very rugged/durable, and sounds good overall (7.5/10). I'm glad i got this model with the 8 inch woofers (instead of the 6"), as bass typically can get lost outdoors.Did not receive the unit that I ordered, but I will keep it. Wanted the larger. This 8 inch, 1 inch tweeters distorts bass at full power , some tunes.Sound was great out of this. But after a little time of trail riding the controller functions stopped working all together. If it was a little better shock proof and I got more then a year out of it. Then it would be worth a rebuyGreat sound, but advertised as Weatherproof which is confusing as we thought it meant Waterproof. Getting caught out in a massive downpour our speaker has now failed to work properly. Being in Canada we are not going to try Boss for the warranty as it gets too complicated returning to the USA, and I don’t think the warranty covers water damage, from what I read. Only got 3 ATV trips with the speaker in after ordering on February 11, 2020. Just want to let others know Weatherproof does not mean Waterproof. So be careful if it says recommended for ATV. Sharing our expensive lesson with you.I mean.. if the remote isn't then it doesn't matter if the speaker is....Ruined 3 remote, I tried waterproofing one but it didn't work..Threw the whole thing in the trash as it's useless without it.Bought the speaker. Sounds good. Problem is the wire connected to the remote control for the speaker isn't long enough. I called to try and get and buy extension and they told me that there's nothing they could do and that it was buyers remorse... terrible customer service not impressed,Item is EXCELLENT !!!!!!! heavier then expected but that was a pleasant surprise. Easy to install - But the cigarette plugin! "I was expecting the red led to come on to show unit was getting power". """not the case ;-)""" HOLD the play button down for 5 second for the unit to come to life and powered up and worked perfectly. Bluetooth pairing was easy and worked! The only issue is when raising and lowering the volume the music stops to adjust the sound volume. Sound is crisp and clear....;-)Compre esta bocina y como no es de uso diario ahora que sali a dar la vuelta ya con la bocina instalada en la cuatrimoto se zafo la bocina de lado izquierdo y pude ver que solo esta como metida a presion pero muy facil se sale y asi esta ahorita, que puedo hacer y cuales son los siguientes pasos?de antemano muchas gracias
