Overall the surrounds were a good fit for a 45 year pair of Avid woofers. However the adhesive might have been getting old or poor instructions. The adhesive began coming out in a rubbery ,caulk consistency causing me to press a little hard on the tube. The product wasn't laying or adhering evenly to the speaker and then all of a sudden the product gave way to a more uniform watery, duco cement type of consistency. By doing so the adhesive spewed out over the cone because of the force i was pressing on the tube. I rushed to clean with a moist cloth i had, unfortunately a fair amount stained the cone. It doesn't affect the sound but leaves a sloppy finish to the speaker. i didn't want to risk cleaniing the cone with alcohol possibly damaging it.
