Review for Toyota JBL Speaker Foam Edge Repair Replacement Kit, 86160-AA310...from Simply Speakers:I purchased this kit to repair a blown sub-woofer (stock) in my 2000 Toyota Solara.The speaker itself is an odd size and impedance (9 in, 4.6 ohm). This repair kit is the only thing that popped up when I searched for a replacement speaker. I hadn't originally wanted to repair the old speaker (since I damaged the cone when removing the part), but my only other options were to buy a replacement from the dealership (at over a $200 cost), or buy an 8" aftermarket woofer with the wrong impedance and make my own adapter plate to fit it into the stock enclosure. I decided that for twenty five bucks, I might as well try the repair first. I figured it was worth a shot.The product arrived quickly after I ordered it. The foam surround was a perfect fit for the blown JBL woofer. There are Simply Speakers online instructional videos that were easy to find, and made the job look really straightforward and easy to do. IT WAS! It only took me about 15 minutes of actual working time to glue everything together (it took 3 hours total for drying in between steps, and about an hour of prep to clean up the speaker beforehand). As soon as I fired up the stereo... that bass was back in business.I would absolutely recommend this company and their product. So glad I took the chance.
